Deze 2-luik is naar aanleiding van een Schotse legende gemaakt.

Volgens een Schotse legende werd Malvina, dochter van een Keltische Bard, verloofd met een krijger genaamd Oscar. Oscar werd gedood in de strijd en de boodschapper die het nieuws bezorgde gaf haar een takje paarse heide als een blijk van Oscar's liefde. Toen haar tranen op de heide vielen werd het spontaan wit. Hoewel ze verdrietig was, wenste ze geluk aan anderen en hoopte dat iedereen die witte heide vond veel geluk zou hebben.

De witte heide in de magische bollen op het schilderij kun je op 2 manieren bekijken, het geluk komt naar je toe of gaat de weide wereld in.

This diptych was created inspired by a Scottish legend.

According to a Scottish legend, Malvina, daughter of a Celtic Bard, was engaged to a warrior named Oscar. Oscar was killed in battle, and the messenger who delivered the news gave her a sprig of purple heather as a token of Oscar's love. When her tears fell on the heather, it spontaneously turned white. Although she was sad, she wished happiness for others and hoped that everyone who found white heather would have lots of luck.

The white heather in the magical orbs in the painting can be seen in two ways: either the luck comes to you, or it goes out into the world.
